FAQ

Do you get a real degree?

Yes, the course offers an officially recognized three-year degree, accompanied by a professional diploma in Film Acting or Filmmaking. This means that, by completing the course, you will obtain a valid academic qualification, which can be used to continue your studies (for example, with a master’s degree) or to enter the world of work with a competitive advantage in both the economic and artistic fields.

Are there differences between the courses in Florence and those in Milan?

No, there are no significant differences between the courses offered in the Florence and Milan locations.
Both locations follow the same educational program, guaranteeing uniform and high-quality training, both for the academic part (economics and entrepreneurship) and for the artistic part (film acting).

However, there may be some logistical variations or local opportunities, such as collaborations with companies or productions specific to each city. For example:

  • Florence: Can offer greater connections with the local and international artistic scene, being a culturally rich city.
  • Milan: Being an economic and creative hub, it can provide access to more events, start-ups and networking in the business sector.

What equipment is provided to students during practical workshops?

During hands-on workshops, students have access to a wide range of professional equipment designed to provide an immersive and hands-on experience.
Cinema-grade cameras, together with CINE lenses, allow you to work on high-quality footage, while professional light sets, such as LEDs and HMIs, ensure optimal lighting.
To complete the experience, props, costumes, accessories and modular sets are provided, useful for practicing acting and creating performances.

All this takes place in dedicated spaces, such as the FMA STUDIOS rehearsal rooms and recording studios, designed to simulate real working environments.

It is also possible to request the use of the equipment for personal projects, subject to authorization, thus expanding the opportunities for practical learning.

Is it possible to attend the course while working?

With an intensive university course of at least 25 hours a week, balancing study and full-time work can be very difficult.
However, the program may be compatible with part-time or flexible jobs, as long as these fit into class times.

The intensive course structure is designed to provide a comprehensive education, so students are encouraged to focus primarily on their studies to derive maximum benefit.
In case of specific needs, it is possible to discuss with the academic staff to evaluate solutions that facilitate the organization of time between study and work.
