- Practical Preparation: Strategies to prepare yourself in a short time, from vocal warm-ups to managing emotions. You will receive practical exercises to develop confidence and security.
2. What a Casting Director Looks For
- Behind the Scenes of Casting: Discover the main factors that influence the choice of an actor, both during live auditions and self-tapes. What impresses a casting director and what common mistakes to absolutely avoid.
- Direct and Individual Feedback: Each participant will have the opportunity to receive personalized feedback from the casting director, structured on the analysis of the voice, body movements, and intensity of emotions. You will learn directly what are the strengths and areas of improvement of your performance.
3. Live Audition Simulations
- Live Auditions with Instant Feedback: Each participant will have the opportunity to simulate an audition, with the casting director providing real-time feedback, improving your ability to react quickly to directions received.
- Self-Tape Techniques: Learn how to prepare a professional self-tape, an increasingly popular format for castings. How to choose the right framing, the tone of the light and present yourself at your best even from a distance. It is essential to have a neutral and well-lit background, avoid visual distractions and use good equipment, such as a quality microphone and a stable camera, to ensure a clear and professional video.

Creating a Clear Identity: Identifying your strengths as an actor and developing a recognizable “type.” How to differentiate yourself from others and present your own unique style.

Giusy Marrone, originally from Trani, lives and works in Rome. After completing classical, humanistic and artistic studies (acting, directing and screenwriting), she graduated in psychology. She works as a Casting Director and Acting Coach for prestigious film production companies, including Colorado Film, Warner Bros Italia, Première Film, Rai Cinema, and many others. Her most recent works as a Casting Director include “Tutù”, directed by Lorenzo Tiberia, and the films and series of “Me contro Te”, directed by Gianluca Leuzzi.
